Private Label from Bissingen receives the highest German distinction for food products.
It is the highest accolade that a dairy company can receive for its product quality: the Bundespreis (German Federal Award of Honour) from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. This is the fifth year in a row now that the Gropper dairy has received the award. Hans Guggenmoos, Head of Quality Assurance, Product Development and Environment at Gropper, accepted the award in the Meistersaal, a historic concert hall in Berlin.
“The highest level of quality is a matter of course for us", says Hans Guggenmoos. “As such, we are constantly investing in our quality management. The award is an encouraging acknowledgement that we are heading in the right direction in this regard. I would like to express a huge thank you to all our employees for their exceptional commitment in this area."
Once a year, the Bundesehrenpreis is awarded to twelve German companies that performed best in the previous year during the quality inspections conducted by the German Agricultural Society. At the heart of the scientific assessment are sensory analysis as well as laboratory, packaging and labelling tests.
The Bundesehrenpreis stands for credibility in quality performance, said Vice President of the German Agricultural Society, Professor Achim Stiebing, in praise of the Gropper dairy. This needs to be put to the test time and again. The Bundesehrenpreis represents both recognition and incentive. Concludes Professor Stiebing: “As such, it is linked to the great responsibility and commitment to invest in sustainable product quality that can set a standard for others, both today and for the future.”
